How the schedule works

Four visits. About two and a half hours each.

Each visit is two one-hour sessions back to back, with a 30-minute break in between. That's eight one-hour sessions over four class days, one visit a week for a month.

$395 covers all eight hours, simulator time and materials.

Small classes: 6 to 12 students

A class runs once it reaches 6 students. If it doesn't fill, you're not left stranded. We'll contact you directly about a refund or moving to another group. You're never paying for a class that doesn't happen.

Aviation Program, session by session

What happens in each of the eight sessions

Every session pairs time in the simulator with a hands-on activity away from the screen.

  1. Welcome to Aviation

Simulator: Tour the cockpit. Learn the yoke, pedals, throttle, flaps and trim wheel.

Ground: The four forces of flight: lift, weight, thrust and drag. Paper airplane demo.

  2. Meet the Airplane

Simulator: Review the controls, simulate an engine start and practise taxiing.

Ground: Parts of a Cessna: wings, fuselage, empennage and landing gear. Label a diagram, then build a cardboard model.

  3. Powering Up

Simulator: Throttle up to takeoff power, feel the acceleration and try an assisted rotation.

Ground: How engines make thrust. Balloon rocket experiment.

  4. Flying Straight & Level

Simulator: Assisted takeoff, then hold straight-and-level flight.

Ground: Why wings make lift. Bernoulli demo with curved paper.

  5. Airspeed & Altitude

Simulator: Hold cruise speed and altitude with gentle heading corrections.

Ground: A "match the speed" airspeed indicator game. Reading an altimeter.

  6. Flight Environment

Simulator: Repeat takeoff and cruise, holding a steady track.

Ground: Airports, runways and the control tower. Build a mini airport with masking-tape runways.

  7. Flight Planning Basics

Simulator: Plan and fly a short cruise from A to B.

Ground: Draw the route on a map and add checkpoints.

  8. First Solo Takeoff & Cruise

Simulator: Start up, taxi, take off and cruise on their own, with the instructor monitoring.

Ground: Review, then Level 1 Junior Aviator certificates are awarded.

"Isn't this just video games?"

No, and it's the first thing parents ask. The simulator is a training tool, not a game. There's no score and nothing to beat. Kids fly a real aircraft procedure on real controls: yoke, throttle, rudder pedals, trim. Half of every session happens away from the screen: paper airplanes, balloon rockets, cardboard aircraft builds, drawing a flight route by hand. They come out able to explain why a wing makes lift. That's not a game.

Questions parents ask

FAQ

What does my child actually do in a class?

Aviation: every session pairs simulator time with a hands-on ground activity. Kids tour the cockpit, learn the four forces of flight, run the throttle up for takeoff, hold straight-and-level flight, read instruments, build a mini airport and plan a real route. By the last session they start up, taxi, take off and cruise on their own, with an instructor beside them.

AI, Robotics & Coding: coding, robotics and AI, built the same way. Hands on the hardware, not watching a screen.

Does my child need any experience?

None at all. This is a true beginner program, Level 1. Session 1 starts with "this is a yoke." Kids who've never touched a simulator and kids who already dream about flying both start in the same place. Ground activities are hands-on and age-friendly, and simulator time is one-on-one with the instructor, so every kid moves at their own pace.

Will my child become a pilot?

Not from this program, and that's exactly the point. Flight training is a big commitment of time and money. Totzi is the low-risk first step: kids find out whether they truly love aviation before anyone spends thousands on it. They finish with real cockpit vocabulary, a feel for the controls, and a clear picture of the path ahead.

How much does it cost?

$395 per program. That covers all eight sessions, simulator time and materials. All equipment is provided.
